I updated the calendar of events for Philadelphia networking last night, adding 32 new or updated events. Among the more interesting events:
- Invite Media is hosting an Amazon Web Services meetup on November 7. Jeff Barr, Amazon's AWS Evangelist, is the guest of honor. Free drinks and food, with a barbecue on the roof. This had over 80 people registered when last I looked at it, so sign up and reserve your place soon.
- Also on November 7, BPG Properties, Ltd. will host a seminar on Intelligent Design (for "green" buildings, not for teleological notions of biology). The event will include a tour of 1000 Continental, BPG's first intelligent, LEEDR certified Green office building. This costs money to attend.
- And, for us social networking fans, on November 13, Adam Nash, Senior Director of Product for LinkedIn.com, will be speaking to the Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia about "Building A Successful Internet Company in Today's Business Environment." This is also free.
I'm still mulling over ways to make the calendar of events for Philadelphia networking compatible with iCal. Definitely something I want to do. I just have to figure out the best way to do it. Upcoming? Google Calendar? Something else?
Enjoy!
