This Week in Philadelphia (TWIP) for 6-14

Happy Flag Day.

Not much going on Monday or Friday, but there's a whole lot stuffed into Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The DVIRC is opening up a new network group for manufacturers from Upper Bucks and Montgomery Counties, with the first meeting on Tuesday morning. The new Philadelphia area chapter of the National Business Marketing Association is holding its 2nd kick-off meeting at Kildare's in King of Prussia, one of several meetings taking place there. There's also an interesting-sounding get-together called "The Business of Sports Networking Event."

On top of this, there's the Wharton Leadership Conference, a face-off between an entrepreneur and a VC at the Venture Association of New Jersey (VANJ) luncheon, and a whole bunch of networking mixers, including the Philadelphia SHRM networking event, which for some reason has been one of the most-viewed events on the Basecamp Business Calendar for several months now.
