Me, I plan on going to the DreamIt Ventures Demo Day on Thursday, which is a good place to get a sense of what is happening in the Philadelphia entrepreneurial/venture community. The Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia is also holding a networking event this week, which is always a good place to connect.

The Delaware Bioscience Business Roundtable and the Pennsylvania Bio event have been getting a lot of attention on the Basecamp Business Calendar over the past few weeks, too.

This week's Comcast New Media Exchange: Social Media Seminar for Nonprofit Executives is sold out, though you can listen to it online (though that's not really networking, is it?). Instead, look towards Podcamp Philly, happening on October 3 and 4, and Barcamp Philly, on November 14. These "unconferences" are a great way to get your finger on the pulse of the local tech/new media/social entrepreneur scene. (Personally, I always thought they should be called "unconventions", but that's just me.)

Also, the Free Business Writing seminar held Rowan University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship looks pretty unprepossessing, but it features someone sent by the Cabot cheese cooperative to talk about business writing. That's an intriguing twist.
